The vision
Faced with financial pressure and lacking the scale to remain competitive, a nonprofit health plan in the Midwest made the decision to exit its Medicare Advantage (MA) line of business. The decision impacted members and put employees at risk for job loss or relocation. The organization needed to communicate the change quickly and clearly to prevent coverage gaps, maintain internal morale, and avoid reputational damage.
Co-creating the solution
The nonprofit health plan partnered with our team to develop clear, compassionate communication messaging tailored to each impacted stakeholder, including employees, members, and brokers. The team prepared leaders to address employee concerns, provide relocation opportunities, and manage exit with empathy. These efforts preserved broker and stakeholder relationships and trust.
