Michelle Werr is a strategy and business development consultant focused on supporting healthcare executives through effectively developing new business models, capitalizing on existing capabilities, and creating successful partnerships. Her particular expertise has been in growth and diversification strategies, segmentation strategies, provider alignment tactics, due diligence, and partnership and negotiation strategies. During her career, Michelle has worked in multiple areas of the healthcare system, assisting clients in developing such solutions as member engagement and consumer capabilities, provider and network alignment strategies, international expansion, and informatics capabilities.
Prior to joining HealthScape, Michelle led multiple strategic and business development initiatives within the Blues as a Managing Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. In that role, she identified innovative capabilities that could be collectively developed across the Blues, resulting in efficiencies and speed to market to increase healthcare quality and affordability.
Previously, Michelle worked as an Associate at Charles River Associates, focused on intellectual property consulting, and prior to that in middle market mergers and acquisitions at various investment banks, including Mesirow Financial and Duff & Phelps LLC. Michelle earned her MBA from the University of Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in finance from DePaul University.
